I can't sit still. I admit it to myself and my partner often. Even when i'm 'relaxing' and taking some time out, I'll be reading a book on a new topic, teaching myself some ridiculous (perhaps unnecessary) new skill or planning, imagining or dreaming up a new project.

Melbourne - RISE International Premiere

So I am finally on the other side of the Melbourne premiere of RISE. I am also on the other side of a tear jerked standing ovation and a night I will never forget.

A short sweet visit last week and I must say, Melbourne was on its best behaviour. I had 28°C days, no rain, no last minute cold snaps or wind. It was enchanting.

It hasn't caught up with me yet that this is actually happening. I'm a normal girl from a small town who always bit off too much to chew. But here we are, five years out of High School and with my first feature film under my belt. It has been a tough two-and-a-half year journey, and if I told you it was all rose coloured skies I'd be lying.

Last Monday marked a pretty big night for my career thus far. The Feature Film RISE that I have been working on for the past two years is well on its way to making it to cinemas. We took the opportunity to showcase the theatrical trailer at the Gold Coast Indie Film and TV Networking event at Jupiter’s Hotel & Casino.
