This week is all about establishing solid financial behaviours and goals. I will take you through the below list of resources I have found incredibly helpful in my own financial journey, ranging from blogs, events, Instagram accounts and Facebook groups.

The key to this week is to find resources that work for you, make you feel empowered, in control and no longer cue a panic attacks when someone at work mentions their mortgage rate, savings strategy or feeling generally uncomfortable being a woman in a previously male-driven financial discussion

As of January this year I have a positive net worth. And although I still have a student loan (HECS/HELP for those in Australia), I feel like I am in a place where I am empowered by my future. I feel healthy, happy and know I’m now in a position to take a career path I love instead of one I need to be able to keep up with the Jonses.

As we find ourselves inside, at home and with the time to finally get to everything we’ve had on our to-do lists. Now may be as good a time as any to review our finances, look at what other women in the creative industries are doing to cash flow their lives and how we can all increase our financial literacy.
