I'm off to Far North Queensland on Saturday and if you've never been before, you're in for a treat! I am not sure if many bloggers are on the snapchat bandwagon and I am probably arriving late to the party, nonetheless, I am going to try it out and share my trip with you.
I am flying north to do a photoshoot for a client and some personal travel. I grew up in Port Douglas and Mossman and would love to show you the 'locals' point of view while I'm up there.

The people here are friendly, the country is spectacularly breathtaking and the gardens aren't manicured which creates this utopian wildness. Everything here is a little greener and friendlier than home.
In the aftermath of any disaster, natural or man made, we travelers, wanderers and adventurers are needed to bring the country back to its feet. Tourism makes up approximately 40% of Vanuatu's GDP and accounts for one third of formal employment. It is our responsibility to continue to promote these countries and encourage the next wave of conscious tourists to embark on visiting.

So I am finally on the other side of the Melbourne premiere of RISE. I am also on the other side of a tear jerked standing ovation and a night I will never forget.
A short sweet visit last week and I must say, Melbourne was on its best behaviour. I had 28°C days, no rain, no last minute cold snaps or wind. It was enchanting.
I was driving through the center of town and saw the entire Maryborough High School oval covered in swags, tents, teachers and students. A little confused I went home to investigate by the only means I know how, Google... Maryborough has hosted the Human Powered Vehicle Challenge for twelve years which, essentially consist of high school students riding spaceship looking bikes over a 24hr period.

The Beauty of Melbourne is that no two experiences are alike. I found myself there last weekend for the opening of Italian Masterpieces at the National Gallery of Victoria. With over 7 gallery rooms with more than 70 painting never before seen outside of the Madrid's Prado museum.
